ASI and Green Economy Canada Team Up on Climate Resilience Workshops for New Brunswick SMEs
ASI and Green Economy Canada are teaming up to host in-person climate resilience workshops for small and medium-sized businesses across New Brunswick this March!
Offered through the Fredericton, Greater Moncton, and Saint John Region Chambers of Commerce, these workshops provide an opportunity for New Brunswick SMEs to connect with other businesses, discuss challenges, and better understand how to adapt their business to a changing climate.
The workshops are part of ASI’s Climate Resilience for SMEs program, designed to help Chambers and business networks to support their members to be proactive and better prepared for extreme weather, rising costs, and supply-chain disruptions.
ASI is pleased to release our 2025 annual Impact Report showing the growth and impact of our education and engagement programs across Canada.
This year, the report highlights new projects that focus on climate resilience, adaptation, and mitigation that our team feels incredibly proud of. It also showcases growth of our existing courses and stories of what landed with learners, new and continued collaborations with amazing organizations, and taking the time to celebrate climate leadership in all shapes and sizes.
Wildfires a Concern for Canadians’ Health and Home, Even as Climate Ranks Lower on the Priority List
A new survey from the RBC Climate Action Institute confirms what we're hearing elsewhere: while still important, climate change ranks lower than healthcare and personal financial concerns like the cost of living and job security.
When it comes to wildfires, Canadians are most concerned about their personal health, with 56% worried about things like smoke inhalation and heat stress. Property damage and insurance costs come close behind at 54%, and half of people (50%) say wildfires keep them from enjoying outdoor activities and connecting with nature.
Regional Realities Series Hosted by ClimateWest & Youth Climate Lab on Feb 11
This looks very interesting and a great way to see some examples of adaptation in action.
The Regional Realities series explores community-led adaptation, bringing together youth and community members to learn how different regions are experiencing and responding to climate impacts.
The first of the series will be focused on the prairies where you'll hear from Keneni Debia, a young person working as a Sustainability and Adaptation Consultant with the City of Regina.
