When facts alone couldn't stir hearts, stories began to rise. They helped us understand that while science explains the what, storytelling helps us feel the why. A good story can do what spreadsheets never could; they turn statistics into a shared sense of purpose and charts into calls to action.
Join us for a FREE virtual event on Sept 10 (10 - 11 am PT | 1 - 2 pm ET)with storytellers Alice Irene Whittaker, Samuel Marty, and Ashoke Mohanraj, who are using storytelling to help us lead toward a shared, more sustainable future.
"Environmental Stewardship" a top 10 fastest growing skill according to World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum’s 2025 Future of Jobs report highlights how climate change is reshaping the world of work. While this may not be news to those of us in the field (some of us have likely been banging our heads against the wall trying to get employers to prioritize this), however it’s encouraging to see the data backing it up.
Climate change mitigation is now the top green transition trend and the third-most transformative overall, with adaptation close behind in sixth place. And for the first time, “Environmental Stewardship” has made the list of the top 10 fastest-growing job skills.
The Youth Environmental Leaders Learning Lab (YELL Lab) is a free, online program running Oct 1 – 30, 2025, for youth ages 18 – 30 across Canada to connect nationwide, explore leadership concepts, and grow their careers in climate action and environmentalism.
The program is hosted online in partnership with our friends over at The Starfish Canada and supported by Co-operators.
Concern for climate remains the same, but priority is dropping among Canadians
Every year, Re.Climate releases its report What Do Canadians Really Think About Climate Change? This is a valuable resource for those of us working in climate to step outside our echo chambers and better understand how Canadians across the country are feeling, what they believe, and how their views are shifting over time.
