Join us for a conversation with Alex Lemay, Annabelle Liao, and Megan Bennett as they dig into what good leadership looks like when it comes to powering our lives.

We’ll be talking about keeping energy affordable, why diverse voices need to be at the table, and the programs/initiatives that can help Canadians step into leadership roles within the energy transition.    

Canada Invests in Climate Competitive Jobs for Young People

The Government of Canada announced $30 million to create 900 employment and skills training opportunities over two years for youth across the country in the natural resource sectors, including energy, forestry, mining, earth sciences and clean technology.

Employers can apply for funding to hire, train and mentor youth aged 15 to 30 for up to 12 months.

Women4Climate Announces 2026 Cohort

We love seeing these wonderful faces in the 2026 Women4Climate (W4C) Metro Vancouver Cohort!

W4C is a program hosted by the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre and supports women and non-binary professionals to advance climate action within the Metro Vancouver area. Mentees and mentors are provided with training and networking opportunities in addition to working with their mentorship partner.

ASI has assisted with the overall program design, and is pleased to lead the training component once again in 2026.

Breaking Climate Silence 

If you work in the climate space, it's easy to assume the people around you (neighbours, coworkers, and friends) don't care about climate change. 

However, research shows the vast majority of Canadians do care. The disconnect between what we think others feel and what they actually feel creates a spiral of silence, where people stay quiet because they assume they're alone.

Re.Climate released a helpful guide on how to talk about climate change with four steps/pathways to help break climate silence.
