1,189 participants and a 1,315% engagement increase in 2023!
We get it; you're probably thinking, 'a 1,315% spike in engagement? Did they just magically conjure up this number?' Nope, it's not magic; this is the actual result of our team's hard work and dedication!
2023 was ASI's year of "yes." We partnered with Royal Roads University to introduce an exciting new course, and we collaborated with 18 organizations to create impactful workshops, facilitate sessions, develop eLearning modules, and speak at incredible events. Our community grew stronger as we launched the ASI Sustainability Professionals Members Network and welcomed our first wave of members. We successfully concluded our latest research project while simultaneously starting a new one.
It truly was a year of saying "yes" to growth and progress!
Barriers and Enablers for Racialized Women in Climate Action Leadership
ASI's newest research project, funded by the Toronto Workforce Funder Collaborative, aims to create a story repository highlighting sustaining policies and practices, as well as system-level recommendations to bolster support and opportunities for racialized women, non-binary, and trans-femme individuals in climate action leadership in Canada.
A few months ago, ASI had the pleasure of launching our Members Network. We feel so fortunate to have welcomed a remarkable group of sustainability professionals from various backgrounds who care deeply about the future of our planet and the human element of change.
We had the chance to ask ASI members Uranbileg Yondon and Aish Mann about all things sustainability and leadership! Check out their interviews below. π
